to be used in conjuncton with a grooming lead/arm. should go around a dogs waist loosely to help prevent a dog from laying down, or falling off a table if they are rowdy. its waterproof so it can also be used in a tub to help a dog stand. 
comes with buttons to help prevent a dog from jumping out of it. snap them or leave them open, works both ways!
 
do not use on dogs with bad backs or known back /neck issues.  do not use tight as any constriction around a dogs abdomen could be painful. be mindful to keep loose.
